Last October, my man Bobbito and I graced the airwaves to commemorate the 20 year anniversary of our first radio show on NYC’s WKCR, 89.9. Along with Lord Sear, we played excerpts from past shows – great musical moments as well as some hilarity, joined by ‘KCR alumni DJ Soul, DJ Riz, Dante Ross, Eclipse, DJ Ekim, A-Trak, DJ Homicide (NY), Bill Spector as well as ‘KCR V.I.P. Large Professor. In short, it was the most fun I’ve had in a long time, and one of my best experiences on radio, period. When the hour of 5am was approaching, we asked ‘KCR management if we could go for another hour, but that wasn’t enough. So we have decided to take it to the club and do this live and in person. We don’t know which artists will show up or what exactly will unfold, but that was part of the magic of our show on ‘KCR…you just never knew.
So join Bobbito, Lord Sear and me this Thursday night and bring a date if you’re a guy. Short of that, invite your sister or cousin or aunt. Know what I mean?
Also – the fresh t-shirt designed by the homie Dust La Rock (who did the flyer/poster) will be on sale at the event.
Tickets are $15 in advance from www.lepoissonrouge.com and $20 at the door. It may sell out so do the right thing.
