As promised, here is part 2 of Fake Blood’s four part series of original breaks, beats and samples.

Following HeavyFeet’s debut release on Plant Music in Autumn 2010, the Sawdust & Sultanas EP (which gained support from the likes of DJ Craze, Todd Edwards, Diplo, Skream, Todd Terry, MJ Cole and Roska), the lads return with a second offering, of equal sonic strength. Combining forward thinking heavy house, grown-up garage and well-executed club flavors, HeavyFeet and Plant Music deliver you the rather excellent Intimidating The Neighbors EP.
Here are what some djs are saying about it:
“Love ’em all.” – Skream
“Big solid bassy UK house music. Man, the HeavyFeet guys just keep getting better! Full support.” – AC Slater
“These are my favourite type of HeavyFeet tracks. Reckon I might spin a few of ’em . Good skills!” – Evil Nine
“Really nice, again. ‘Inner City’ is a monster.” – Detboi
“This EP is strong! Loving the retro vibe. This is good stuff.” – Loose Cannons
“We LOVE ‘I Will.'” – Hot City
“Inner City’ and ‘Overrule’ rulin’.” – Mike Monday

Those of you who appreciate the subtlety of expert music production know that Fake Blood knows his beats. Known for making some of the biggest club records of recent that tend to be hard and with just the right amount of rave, his records always have an underpinning of classic sampled drum breaks that could only be crafted by someone with a background in hip-hop and beat digging.
Fake Blood has just completed the first part of a five part mix in which he cuts up original records that have been used in hip-hop, without using any compilations, boots or re-issues whatsoever – just the real records that he’s collected over the years.
Enjoy part one and get ready for the next.
