THANKSGIVING WEEKEND WITH STRETCH ARMSTRONG & ELI ESCOBAR

This weekend, both Eli and I are playing out locally.  On Saturday (11/27)  I will be at the beloved SubMercer.  Not much to say about except that you should get there early and stay late.  We’re going ’til 5…at least.

On Sunday night, after I have nursed my hangover with a bloody Mary or two, I will be at Le Bain on the top floor of the Standard Hotel for Jerome and Neil’s white-hot Nouveau York weekly to catch some of my favorite djs – Eli Escobar, Alex From Tokyo and Roy Dank aka My Cousin Roy.

To get you in the mood, check out the mixshow that Eli and I do every Monday night, Delancey Music Service on East Village Radio.  All of our shows are archived here and streamable.

See you out there!

HOLY GHOST! MIXTAPE (REALLY, A MIXTAPE)

Fellow native New Yorkers Holy Ghost! recently released a mix tape of their remixes with hip-hop style shoutouts by a bunch of fools, including me.  In case you missed the boat, or don’t have a cassette deck (what’s wrong with you?!), grab the digitized version here.

Holy Ghost! guest dj’ed on Delcancey Music Service on East Village Radio two weeks ago and played a killer selection of tunes, old and new.  Stream it here.

HOLY GHOST! GUEST ON DELANCEY MUSIC SERVICE

holyghost

Tonight, DFA’s Holy Ghost! will be the featured guests on your favorite Monday night internet radio show, Delancey Music Service, on East Village Radio. We’ll chop it up a bit, talk about their greatest remixes cassette and then let them get on the decks to drop some gems.  Like Eli Escobar and myself, both members of Holy Ghost are born-and-bred New Yorkers so I’m sure we’ll end up in old-school hip-hop terrain and get all nostalgic. Check it out at 10pm on www.eastvillageradio.com.
