We are very pleased to be releasing Wool’s new EP “The Good In You” in March. Formerly known as DJ Wool (aka Glen Brady) and currently based in Marin County, California, Mr. Brady is actually the first artist we ever released on Plant Music way back in 1997. His new EP contains three splendid slow house tunes who get remixed by LA’s Sabo, LA’s Pools (aka Mike B.) and UK’s HeavyFeet. To celebrate this upcoming release Glen did a great chillout (yes it’s been long enough been long enough, we can now use that term again) mix for Neoteric’s “White Light” DJ mix series. Look out for a lot more from Wool including his remix of Richard Richard dropping on February 14 and a US tour in April. Download the mix Here. And check out Wool’s Soundcloud Here.
Plant Music’s DJ Wool (San Francisco / Berlin) just did a rad new DJ mix that we are pleased to post.
We’ll let his words describe his feelings and motivation behind the musical journey. We at Plant also congratulate him on his recent wedding to the lovely Lindsey Brady.
This one’s a true multi media workout. I used Vinyl, Scratch Live and a Vestax VCI 300 Controller and VFX1 running Itch. It was originally a 120 minute DJ jam that I edited it down to 90 minutes. 120 was just waaaay too long for a dj mix. On the other hand I’ve always thought of dj mixes as snapshots…60 mins couldn’t really explain the whole journey…what it takes. I used to do a club in Ireland back in the day called ‘Whatever’ and this mix follows that Philosophy. It’s a reaction to Purists and Purism. It’s eclectic without that being a bad word. 80′s theme tune bleeds into Slow House, Italo Disco and Rnb before dropping some Moombahton bombs on it’s way up to Disco and Club before bathing in Bass and Straight Up Jackin’ House to finish off proceedings cause these are the BREAKS…for more info http://wool-projects.com/
