I recently commissioned remixes for Danish Brooklynite Oh Land (Nanna Øland Fabricius) and her new single ‘Sun of a Gun’ for Sony/Epic and they have been kind enough to let me post a few of the mixes. The package includes remixes by Savage Skulls, Kris Menace, Ian Pooley and Yuksek and has been getting great support from DJs like Brodinski, Acid Washed, Nick Thayer & even Rob from Stereo MCs as well as love on the blogs at RCRLBL, Discobelle and Palms Out Sounds.
I went to see Oh Land play at Cameo in Williamsburg two weeks ago and I was blown away be her show. Her singing is amazing and she was triggering beats and samples from her drum pads (attached to the box above) and jumping back and forth from her Nord Lead synth all the while being cheerful and amusing. I was proud to be involved with getting these remixes done and I hope you enjoy them. She has a 5 track EP coming out in the fall and a full length anticipated for the new year.
